Have a Great Summer!

The staff of Santan JHS wishes all of our families a fun and safe summer! Thank you for all of your hard work and support this year ... our "learning community" is a huge reason we are able to call ourselves an A+ School of Excellence! Remember that Stormin' Day is on Thursday, July 18, and is an opportunity for students to pick up their schedule, visit their classrooms, take care of lunch money accounts and PE uniforms, and so much more. 7th graders will have Stormin' Day from 1:00-3:00 pm, while 8th graders will have their Stormin' Day from 3:00-5:00 pm. The first day of classes for all students is Monday, July 22. See you then, Stormers!

Santan Student Wins "Moral Courage" Essay Contest

Congratulations to Santan JHS 8th grader Justin Zhu for winning the Anti-Defamation League Arizona Region's Moral Courage essay contest. Justin's essay, entitled "The Call for Courage," was about Jewish Holocaust survivor Oskar Knoblauch, who speaks to Santan 8th graders every spring. We are so proud of Justin's award and so honored to have a wonderful partnership with Oskar, as well.

Santan Is An A+ School!

We are proud to announce that Santan JHS has been named an A+ School of Excellence by the Arizona Educational Foundation. The A+ School of Excellence program recognizes schools "for their superior ability to identify and meet the academic and non-academic needs of their student population." This is a tremendous honor that reflects all of the hard work done by students, teachers, parents, staff, and administrators to make Santan such an outstanding school. Congratulations to every member of our Santan community for this achievement!
