Now a 7th Grade Stormer, Mia was born with a very rare bone marrow failure disorder. She needs life-sustaining blood transfusions every 3-4 weeks, and she is alive today because of all the people who donate blood. Join Santan as we support Mia at this Walk/Run 5K on September 19 at Kiwanis Park. There will be breakfast and fun games. Register at www.septemberchamp.org under Team Mia! If you can't Run/Walk with us, you may also donate. In honor of Mia's birthday, a toy collection is also being held for Cardon Children's Medical Center.
This summer, the Arizona Mathematics Partnership hosted its free Summer Math Camp at ASU-Barrett Honors College in July.
7 students and 2 teachers from SJHS participated. Megan Jeffers was a Teacher Leader and Melissa Stanley was a Teacher Leader and Camp Supervisor. Students attended grade-level specific math sessions led by the teacher leaders and participated in a Robotics session evreyday. Check out this year's video from the AMP Math Camp!
Payment for all Extracurricular Activity Fees can only be done online via the "Parent Portal" in Infinite Campus, so please be sure you are enrolled.
CUSD will be going paperless this year! Progress reports and report cards can be printed from the portal. Each parent is encouraged to activate their account at the start of the school year to ensure that they are well informed of student progress. All school sites have a parent portal manager should you require set-up assistance or have further questions. Portal accounts will allow parents to check their child's academic progress at any time during the school year. Please visit http://www.tinyurl.com/cusdportal to set up your parent portal account.
