Welcome!

Welcome to Kindergarten! I'm so excited to be part of the San Marcos Family! I can't wait to see what this school year has in store for us in Kindergarten. It's going to be an amazing year filled with lots of learning.

My Education and Professional Background

I received my Bachelors Of Science in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that children learn best through experience, peer interaction, hands on activities, and when they are able to connect to what they are learning. I believe it is important that a child not only hears what they are learning but they also get to verbalize it and see it. I encourage students to work together as there are times where my instruction doesn't get through but the help of a peer is the key to making a connection in their brain.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe communication is key between the teacher, students and parents. I believe practice, practice, practice at school and at home is the best way to get better. I believe hands on interactive along with using a pencil and paper is how Kindergarten students learn. I believe in building a community in the classroom and a relationship with each individual child along with the class as a whole is very important.
