    Hello Class of 2020 Students & Families!!! The faculty and staff of ACP-Erie is extremely excited to recognize and celebrate your receiving of your diploma later this week. Attached are the plans that have been established for Thursday's Diploma Distribution Celebration. We hope you will join your fellow graduates for a celebratory parade on your way to getting your high school diploma! Please review the attached guidelines.     Thank you for your patience as we continue to determine the best course of action for graduations.  My last communication indicated we were exploring a voluntary in-person ceremony at each high school for the first week of June. 

    The Arizona Department of Health Services disseminated their recommendations and guidelines on May 11, 2020.  While they are not recommending mass gatherings such as graduations, they did suggest postponing, canceling, or holding virtually.  The virtual ceremony that is being prepared will be our official graduation.  Based on the AZDHS recommendations, we have decided to postpone an opportunity for a voluntary in-person graduation until later in June.

    Prioritizing the health and safety of our students and staff remains the highest priority.  Following numerous meetings with high school principals and district staff, measuring stadium seating, determining feasibility of implementing the recommended guidelines, we are planning to postpone the voluntary in-person ceremony until June 24th for Hamilton and Perry High Schools and June 25th for ACP-Erie, Basha, Chandler, and Casteel High Schools.  The ceremony will be modified to include social distancing for graduates, their names will be read, and photographs taken as they walk across the stage, etc.  It is important to note our large high schools cannot accommodate the required 6 feet between guests that is currently required by CDC and ADHS.

    At this time, we are requesting your input on all three ***questions*** so that plans can be finalized.  Please respond by Monday, May 18, 2020.

    Graduation Orders

    Arizona College Prep Seniors, we have good news!!!!!

    Jostens will be here Wednesday, April 22nd for graduation delivery of caps and gowns; however we will be using an alternative plan for this delivery.


    1. Curb side delivery only (stay in your car) – turn into front lot on the east side of the school. Pull straight in and up to the curb in front of the school office and Jostens will approach you and get your order for you.

    2. Times: 10:00 - 10:30AM- alpha last names beginning A-L 10:30 – 11:00AM – alpha last names beginning M-Z 11:00 – 11:30AM  - If you have not pre-ordered, this is your time. If you could not make it during your time, this is your time. Cap and gown unit is $50, cash only (exact amt. pls.)

    Please have available and/or keep in mind:

    1. Identification- driver’s license or school id required.

    2. Please put a sign in your window with your first and last name clearly printed.

    3. If you have not paid your bill in full please have that payment made prior to picking up your items - online or at 1-800 Jostens. Payment at delivery is cash only (exact amount due please- this helps us keep the line moving).

    Orders must be paid in full to pick up. Jostens will email invoices.

    4. If you are unable to pay the remaining balance before or on that date, please continue to make your payment plans. once they have been paid off in full you will be able to receive your orders. Arrangements will be made.

    5. If you are unable to come on April 22 an alternate plan will be developed.

    2020 Senior Clash

    Senior Class - Baby/Toddler Photos NEEDED

    All Senior families -  submit your baby/toddler photos to Mr. Lindstrom. As part of our traditional senior slideshow, we ask that you submit at least one baby photograph of your senior. To ensure that your child is included in this year's presentation, submit your photo ( JPEG files only) by emailing the picture to Mr. Lindstrom by Friday, March 6. lindstrom.adam@cusd80.com

    Class Photo and Cap & Gown Photos

    Wednesday, February 12, the Class of 2020 will be taking a class photo at 10:00am in our school's gym. We ask that students wear professional attire to school on Wednesday for this photo (i.e. shirts, ties, business dresses, slacks, etc). After the taking of the class photo, students will have an opportunity to take an individual picture in a cap & gown. Our photographer will provide order forms a couple of days before the taking of this picture or distribute them to the students on Wednesday. 


    Class of 2020 Graduation Details Finalized

    We are pleased to inform the Class of 2020 that the details for this year's graduation ceremony have been finalized. The Class of 2020's Commencement Ceremony will be held at Perry High School on Thursday, May 28 at John Wrenn Stadium. The ceremony will begin at 7:30 PM. Additional information will be shared and distributed with the Class of 2020 after the winter intersession. Please note this date was shared in our summer newsletter, but the time was adjusted to accommodate for an outdoor ceremony. We are excited to celebrate the Class of 2020's graduation from high school in May.


    Seniors - Watch the mail for your Official Senior Letter from Lou Coopey Photography (ALL-PRO), in the beginning of June, with your pre-scheduled appointment for your yearbook senior picture!  If you do not receive a letter, please call ALL-Pro at 480-830-5667
