    Welcome!

    Welcome to my page! My name is Ashley Rundell and I am the speech-language pathologist. I am so excited to begin working with the students, staff and families of Sanborn Elementary.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I am a Central NY native who has wanted to be a Speech Pathologist since high school. I grew up with family in the local school districts as paraprofessionals and loved watching them interact with students. I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Science from SUNY Cortland in Cortland, NY in 2015 and a masters in Speech-Language Pathology from Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ in 2018. I began my career in 2018 in a Phoenix-based school district and will begin year 5 here in CUSD. 

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that each student has a unique learning and communication style. My goal is to provide a safe space for children to be themselves, learn and create their voice. In speech therapy, we meet students at their level and build them up. I strive to be a positive role model for students and someone they can count on day in and day out.
