Welcome! I am your contact for IEP services. My role here allows me to work in many different classrooms with all kinds of different learners. I am so excited to work with the students at Arizona College Prep, both Oakland and Erie campuses. You will find information here on Academic Lab and Math Club.
My Education and Professional Background
Masters of Education Curriculum and Instruction Arizona State University Bachelors of Arts - Special Education - Prescott College A late-bloomer, I spent many years in retail management and banking prior to making the transition to education. While completing my teaching degree, I worked as an admin assistant in a secondary school office. I coached varsity volleyball and softball for a number of years at that school and began my teaching career there. I taught at several different high schools before finding my current home at Arizona College Prep in 2011. I hold teaching certificates in Special Education, elementary Education, and Secondary Education. In addition to Special Education, I am highly qualified in mathematics and physical education and have a full ESL endorsement.
My Educational Philosophy
I have found that there are nearly as many ways to teach a skill as there are students to teach it to. My job is to find the right way for each student.
