Hello and Welcome. My name is Veronica Foster and I am thrilled to be your 4th grade teacher this year! I am originally from Kentucky, but have lived here most of my life. I live in Gilbert with my wonderful husband, Robert and together we have 4 amazing children, Garrett, Brad, Alexandrea and Amanda. In my spare time I love to be with my family, cook, read and work in my garden.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, and received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education from Northern Arizona University. I began my career with CUSD in 2003. I worked as a Para while my children were in school and then began substituting. I loved the school environment and the children so much, that I went back to get my Masters at Northern Arizona State University. I have been at Fulton since 2013.
My Educational Philosophy
I have always had a love of learning. As a teacher I hope I can instill this love of learning to my students. I believe in a safe environment. I work hard all year long building a classroom that encourages risk-taking thinking, respect, trust, and a sense of ownership among students. I can only hope that I will inspire my students in a way that creates not only a stimulating environment, but an environment in which they can be creative and thrive.
