    Congratulations on your upcoming Graduation from High School. In order to ensure that your ceremony is special, the following items must be completed by the due dates listed below. If you have any questions, please see Mr. Bickes, Mrs. Wilson, or Mrs. Dalton.

     

    • Wednesday, March 6, 2019 – Senior meeting in Gym
      • Due Date: Monday, April 1 - Graduation speakers must turn in their speech to Mrs. Dalton No speeches will be accepted or considered after this date and time.
      • Due Date: Wednesday, April 10 - Nominations for (faculty/staff) Commencement Speakers & Readers of Names to Mr. Bickes. Class Song Selection to Mr. Bickes for approval.
      • Due Date: Monday, April 22 - College Selection and Scholarship Offers to Mrs. Dalton

    • Wednesday, April 3, 2019 – Reading of Student Speeches
      • Schedule & room to be determined. All interested speakers will read their graduation speech to an adult panel to be considered for selection.
    • Wednesday, April 10, 2019 – Senior meeting in Gym
      • Selection of Class Song, Commencement Speakers, & Reader of Names
      • Order High Honors Cords and Distinguished Scholar Stoles

     

    • Monday, April 22, 2019 – College Selection and Scholarships
      • Copies of all Scholarship offers must be turned in to Mrs. Dalton along with the Scholarship Sheet
      • Deadline College Selection given to Mrs. Dalton
    • Wednesday, April 24, 2019– Senior meeting in Gym
      • Finalization of graduation ceremony

     

    • Wednesday, May 1, 2019 – Senior meeting in Gym – College Signing Day
      • Final draft of commencement speeches emailed to Mrs. Dalton, paula@cusd80.com and to Mr. Bickes, bickes.robert@cusd80.com.
      • Final review of commencement program. All Seniors will need to sing off on the program.
      • Wear “Your College Gear” at stop by Mr. Lindstrom’s class to have your photo/video taken.
    • Monday, May 20, 2019 – Checkout Forms
      • Distribution of Senior Checkout forms via 3rd period instructor

     

    • Thursday, May 23, 2019 – Senior meeting in library @ 2:30
      • Senior final examinations, periods 1, 3, and 5
      • 2:30 – Distribution of cap and gown. Pick up cap and gown in library.
    • Friday, May 24, 2019
      • Final examinations, periods 2, 4, and 6
      • Senior checkout form due to Ms. Bastidas by 3:00 p.m.
    • Tuesday, May 28, 2019
      • Final transcript credit check
      • Graduation Rehearsal @ CCA time TBD, (casual clothing)

    • Wednesday, May 29, 2019
      • Class of 2018 Commencement Ceremony, 5:00 p.m. (Doors open at 4:00)
      • Graduates need to report to CCA Bogle Room by 4:15 p.m.

     

    Senior To Do List:

     

     

    April

    • Send in remaining service hours for IMPACT prior to April 1st
    • Continue to apply for scholarships.
    • Review college acceptance and financial aid offers and choose your college prior to May 1st!
    • Send all Scholarship Offer Information to Mrs. Dalton due April 22nd (Google Form on-line, ACP College and Career Center and paper copies to Mrs. Dalton) 

    May

    • Take AP Exams - Be sure to indicate the college you are attending on the AP Exam so scores are sent. 
    • Attend Awards Night at ACP: May 21st
    • Be sure to sign on to your Parchment account and check "hold for grades". Indicate the college where you would like your final transcript to be sent. 
    • Request CGCC transcripts to be sent to your college to earn credit for your dual enrollment
    • Request/Order your AP Score Report to be sent to your college if not indicated on your AP Exam.  
    • Complete student loan information 
    • Send regrets to colleges and universities that you will not be attending
    • Write thank you notes to scholarship companies and to anyone else who helped you along the way
