We as a chemistry departing will try to post all of the work for the upcoming week on Monday. This way you can work on it how your and your family’s schedule works best.
You will not see anything posted until tomorrow morning when it was scheduled. The scheduled time that I will be online to help will be at 8:00 am and then again at 11:00 am each time for about an hour. If you are having any questions this would be the best time to contact me.
The chance of this working out without a hitch are nearly zero, so please be patient, and please contact me if you are having any issues.

3/2 - Students received an old Stoich test to use for review for their quiz.
2/28 - Students worked on real world stoich problems. They are due on Monday
2/(26-27) - Students completed the MgO lab. It will be due on Friday
2/25 - Students learned about limiting reactant problems and did practice #4 on their own paper.

2/(5-6) - Students read and then analized a Chemmatter article on the chemicals in vaping. They had questions to work on with it and they will be due on Friday. After completing that they did some additional practice with Combined Gas Laws. Combinded Gas Laws #2 will be due in the HW Packet.
2/4 - Students went over the first combinded gas worksheet and we did a variety of demonstration. It was a Half Day.
2/3 - Student were given time to work on combinded gas law #1 which will be due in the HW packet. They also had time to work on the balloon lab due tomorrow.
1/31 - Students took notes on combinded gas law.

12/12 - Test Review
12/10 - Prediction corrections and self created prediction problems.
12/9 - Student had to predict and balance chemical equations given only the reactants. They did Prediction #1 DUE IN HW Packet.
12/6 - A variety of chemical demonstrations were given to gives examples of different type of reactions.
12/4 - Student corrected the practice and then took notes on how to classify chemical reactions and balance them. Students did balancing chemical reactions wkst. DUE IN HW Packet
12/3 - Students continued to practice IMF and did a practice wkst. DUE IN HW Packet
12/2 - Students were introduced to Polar vs Non Polar and Intermolecular forces.
11/26 - Student learned how to find the shapes of the lewis structures using the table provided.
They named the 15 from before and added 15 more.
11/22 - Students were introduced to drawing Lewis structures. They chose to do 15 problems on the paper.
11/21 - Quiz on Nomenclature
11/19- Students created their own problems and then we used them as a quiz review.
11/18- Students in groups created an educational poster that explained how to name ionic, covalent, and acids.
11/15 - Students did a practice with ionic, covalent, and acid naming. DUE IN HW PACKET After correcting it we had the naming race.
11/13 - Students were given notes on acid naming. They completed the problems on the back for homework.
11/14 -Students took notes on Covalent compounds and then finished the mixed problem wkst. DUE IN HW PACKET
11/8 - Students did the cube/dice activity in class. This will be a lab/project grade due on Tuesday.
11/7 - Students took notes on ionic compounds. They then did all of the bold parts of the mixed practice worksheet for homework.
11/5 - Students participated in a group activity to look into how ionic compounds names and formulas are written.
11/6 - Students were introduced naming compounds. They were given the polyatomic ion sheet and will have a quiz on the negative 1 ions on Thursday.

10/(30-31)- Students worked on the alien periodic table and received their test review.
10/29 - Students presented their information to their groups and practiced with "What do atoms look like?"
10/28 - Students broke into groups to research periodic trends. They each were assigned one of the trend to research
10/25 - Students reviewed and then took a quiz on e. configuration.
10/24 - Students completed a warm up review. The completed e. configuration #1 DUE IN HW PACKET and then we played e. configuration battleship DUE IN HW PACKET
10/22 - Student went outside and then we did a e configuration activity. Students had to choose 6 atoms total from the S,D,P orbits. They had to write the orbital diagram as well as the long and short hand electron configuration. DUE IN HW PACKET
10/21- Students took notes on Electron Configurations
10/18- Students worked on test corrections and worked on the e. configuration pogil
10/17 - Students learned about frequency and then were assigned the e. configuration pogil due on MONDAY

9/3 - Students reviewed the material due on the lab on Thursday. We then practiced heating curve problems that involve state changes in them.
8/30 - Students will do the Heating curve of water activity. It will be turned in on Thursday.
8/29 - Student worked on and completed the Heat Transfer Lab. It will be due on Thursday
8/27 - Students learned about heat of fusion and vaporization. They did a practice worksheet that will be due the the HW Packet. It has a heating curve on the top.
8/26 - Student practiced q=-q. The paper done in class will be in the HW Packet
8/23 - Students checked mcat practice #1 DUE IN HW Packet did some additional practice and played Kahoot.
8/22 - Students worked on the Food Calorie Lab. It will be due on Friday.
8/20 - Students had a half day. They took notes on using the q=mcΔT equation.
8/19 - Student were given back their test and had the opportunity to begin test corrections. They are due by Friday. If you are planning on retaking the test you have to set up a time with me by Friday. Students also worked on their sand lab. Due Tomorrow

7/30 - Students corrected Metric and Sig Fig Wkst and took notes on Dimensional Analysis. Student had to create their own problem and share with others. Students also needed to select 10 problems from the previous homework and use DA to solve, answer in sig figs and then write in scientific notation.(DUE IN HW Packet)
7/29- Students took notes on Sig Figs and Scientific Notation. They were supposed to find the sig figs on Metric and Sig Fig Wkst.
