• Students are expected to read an independent reading book for 20 minutes per night. 

    All assignments are posted in Google classroom. To access Google Classroom, students must log into Google using their s+student id#@gse.cusd80.com

    *The last day to turn in late work for the quarter is on Friday, September 13th. Late work will not be accepted for the rest of the quarter after the 13th unless a student is absent the day something is due. The assignment will then be due the day they return.  

    September 16 - 20, 2019

    September 16 - Check running notes for The Odyssey, "Land of the Dead" and "The Sirens." Root word review. Read "Scylla and Charybdis" and "The Cattle of the Sun God. Homework: Finish running notes - due Tuesday. 

    September 17 - Short quiz on Sirens, Scylla & Charybdis, and The Cattle of the Sun God. Notes on the Epic Hero. Continue reading The Odyssey.  

    September 18/29 - Finish The Odyssey. 1 Page review of the end of the story. Due Monday, 9/23. 

    September 20 - Roots quiz. Work on 1 pgaer. 

     

    September 9 - Due: Xenia Review. Discuss Xenia. Turnitin.com expectations. Due tomorrow to Google Classroom - Final Draft of personal narrative due tomorrow morning. Due to Turnitin.com by Tuesday morning, 7am other wise it will be considered late.  

    September 10 - Essay Self-Reflection. Continue with the Odyssey Books 10-12. 

    September 11/12 - Counseling units all class period.

    September 6 - Warm-up. Turn in warm-ups from 8/26-9/6. Continue peer review. Homework: Xenia Review (complete in Google Classroom - no hard copies.
