About
Canfield...
I have had a unique experience at KGA as a long-term substitute in 2nd grade, 4th grade, and 5th grade. These opportunities have allowed me to learn from many wonderful and experienced teachers and interact with a variety of students and families. I am excited as my journey takes me back to 5th grade and look forward to an amazing year!
My Education and Professional Background
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education. I have been teaching since 2001 as a long-term substitute teacher and a classroom lead teacher. This opportunity has allowed me to teach a variety of grade levels. I also taught my own children while we lived abroad for seven years.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that every child has been gifted with a unique personality and style of learning. I will provide a safe environment where students are invited to share their ideas and take risks. I will assist my students to express themselves and accept themselves for who they are, as well as embrace the differences of others.
