    Hello families! My name is Heather Hinz and I am so excited to be working with you and your amazing 1st graders this year!

    My Education and Professional Background

    I received my bachelor's and masters degree in early childhood education from  ASU. I taught preschool for four years, and certified k-3 for the last five years.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that students learn best when their academic needs are nurtured alongside their social and emotional development. I focus on creating a caring and welcoming classroom, where all students know they are a special part of our classroom community.
