• Character Counts

A framework based on basic values called the Six Pillars of Character:
trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring and citizenship.
These six core values are a wonderful springboard to support student success at Haley. They also support our school and district mission. Haley has an established Character Counts program. There are monthly character pillars that are recognized in and out of the classrooms. Weekly rewards are given to students that show good character each week. Students and staff are all involved in this well-liked activity. We have assemblies at Haley promoting character excellence as well. We also nominate and recognize students of character in each grade level at our assemblies. Our Character Counts program also enables teachers to prepare lessons to go along with the trait of the month. We are expecting students to understand what it means to show good character and display good character traits in their everyday interactions with others.
