Hello.  My name is Leslie Boyd and I am excited to be a 2nd grade teacher here at Patterson.

I am a graduate of California State University, Fullerton.  I began teaching Kindergarten in 1990.  After teaching for 2 years I became a Child Abuse Counselor at an emergency shelter for abused, abandoned and neglected children.  I worked in that capacity for 6 years.  I then stayed home with my children for the next 6 years.  When my youngest child began first grade I came back to teaching and began teaching 1st grade in 2005.  In 2008 I was fortunate enough to become a 1st grade teacher at Patterson and helped open the school.  In 2015 I looped with my first graders and began teaching second grade.  I am so excited I did because I LOVE second grade!
My family and I moved from southern California to Arizona in 2003.  I currently live in Gilbert with my husband, David, our 3 children, 3 dogs and 1 cat.  My oldest son, Jake, is a graduate from ASU.  Nick is attending CGCC and works part time at Old Navy and Starbucks.   Brenna graduated from Perry High School and is attending school in August as well as working at Starbucks.  I love to read, play games with my family, swim and shop.
