     This page contains dates and information regarding upcoming and past assignments given in Mr. Johnson's AP World History Class. Parents and students should reference the page frequently to ensure that students are completing required assignments in a timely manner.     Working individually, students will create a poster board map of the world, identifying lcoations of empires, trade routes, exploration routes, and other significant historical topics of World History prior to 1750 CE. (See World Map Project on the AP World History Assignments Page)

    October 19th, 2019 Week 11 Warm-Ups and Closures

    Students will complete 8 assignments, each consisting of factual and analytical questions pertaining to primary and secondary historical sources, and participate in class discussions regarding their responses at the beginning of class periods. (See Chapter 1819 Outline on AP World History Assignments Page)

    October 26th, 2019 Week 12 Warm-Ups and Closures

    Students will complete 8 assignments, each consisting of factual and analytical questions pertaining to primary and secondary historical sources, and participate in class discussions regarding their responses at hte beginning of class periods. (See Chapter1819 Outline on AP World History Assignments Page)

    October 15th, 2019 Chapter 18 Quiz Part 1

    Students will complete a 15-question multiple-choice practice quiz on Tuesday, October 15th. Students earning a score of 80% or higher on the practice quiz will be able to keep that score on the multiple-choice portion of the full quiz given on Wednesday, October 16th or Thursday, October 17th. The full quiz will consist of 25 multiple-choice questions and 1 short answer essay question. Content assessed will come from Chapter 18 (See Chapter 18 and 19 Vocabulary Guide and PowerPoint)

    October 16th or 17th, 2019 Chapter 18 Quiz Part 2

    Students will complete a 15-question multiple-choice practice quiz on Tuesday, October 15th. Students earning a score of 80% or higher on the practice quiz will be able to keep that score on the multiple-choice portion of the full quiz given on Wednesday, October 16th or Thursday, October 17th.     November 1st, 2019 before midnight Chapters 18 and 19 Albert.IO Practice Test Students will complete a practice test consisting of AP-Level Multiple Choice Questions via the Albert.IO website. There is no time limit for students to work on the practice test, and they are encouraged to use their textbooks and any other study aid to assist them with their work, though the practice exam MUST be completed working independently. 100
    October 23rd or 24th, 2019 Chapters 18 and 19 LEQ Students will compose an essay in response to an LEQ (Long Essay Question) prompt.     December 16th, 2019 Revolutions Partner Project Working with a partner, students will create a collage comparing and contrasting two political revolutions which took place in Western Civilizations during the 17th and/or 18th centuries.
