Ms. Elizabeth Schley, NBCT

My name is Elizabeth Schley and I will be teaching AP Government, as well as chairing the Social Studies Department. This is my sixth year as a Basha Bear, and 17th year in education. Prior to this, I taught for 11 years in the Gilbert School District as an 8th grade social studies teacher. I am also a National Board Certified Teacher in Social Studies/History!

-I sit on the Teacher Council for the Bill of Rights Institute.
-I have had the pleasure of studying at Stanford Law and Georgetown Law with some of the most incredible Constitutional scholars. 
-I love to travel and Washington, DC is like a second home for me. 
- I make the best chocolate chip cookies in the world and tell everyone the secret ingredient is love.
- I write on my spare time (Teaching AP Government) and share lessons with teachers around the world!
- I am an Iowa Hawkeye fan to the bone. 
-If I wasn't a teacher, I'd be a food critic.
