  • NAU Teacher Intern Preparation Program (TIPP)

    TIPP is NAU’s alternative pathway, which allows a candidate to enter into a teaching contract while completing the requirements for an Arizona Teaching Certificate.

    Why do TIPP?

    • You are helping to meet a critical need in Arizona for teachers.
    • You can earn a teaching credential while being employed full time.
    • You receive mentorship and support from your school site and NAU.
    • You have the opportunity to directly apply theory from graduate classes in your classroom.
    • You can distribute your student teaching across your graduate program.

    Eligibility Criteria and How to Apply

    • A completed application for the Teaching Intern Certificate from the Arizona Department of Education
    • Bachelor’s degree or higher
    • Minimum grade point average of 3.00 (B) in your undergraduate program of study
    • IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
    • Admission to one of the following graduate programs:
      • MEd Elementary Education with Certification*

  • Grand Canyon University: Math Professional Development Opportunity

    June 18 - 21, 2018


    During this workshop in math instruction, 6th - 9th grade teachers will collaboratively create math lessons that address the standards for mathematical practice through the application of music, art, science, engineering and your imagination. Participants will also experience the unique features of the GCU campus such as the Arizona Cyber Warfare Range. Cost for the workshop is $450 or $400 for GCU alliance participants. Learn more here.
