About
Walden...
Welcome! I am so excited to be your teacher this year. A little about myself... I was born in Michigan but grew up in Florida and Arizona. I love the warmer weather! I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. During my free time I like camping and being outdoors or just hanging out with my husband, our dog, and our two cats. I also enjoy shopping and watching college football on Saturdays. I am so very proud to be part of the Patterson family!
My Education and Professional Background
I am a graduate of Arizona State University...Go Sun Devils! I received a Bachelor's Degree in Communications in 2001 and earned a Master's Degree in Elementary Education in 2010. I also have an endorsement in Structured English Immersion. Previously, I worked as a paraprofessional in grades 3rd, 5th & 6th at Basha Elementary School.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe each and every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. I will help children to develop their potential by believing in them as capable individuals. I will assist children in discovering who they are, so they can express their own opinions and nurture their own ideas. I have a vision of a world where people learn to respect, accept, and embrace the differences between us, as the core of what makes life so fascinating.
