Lunberg Library Policies:Each student may check out two items at a time with a student ID card.Library materials are checked out to parents and students for three weeks and may be renewed twice, if necessary, if there are no pending holds.Casteel High does not charge overdue fines.Patrons may not check out additional library materials until overdue materials are returned.All materials checked out of the media center are the responsibility of the patron. Lost or damaged materials must be paid for in full before additional materials may be borrowed. A book is considered lost only if it is overdue for a minimum of three weeks. Refunds will be given only if a lost book is found and returned to the media center in good condition prior to a replacement being ordered.
Lost or damage books may be paid for in cash or check payable to Casteel High School. Students must speak to the library staff prior to purchasing a replacement themselves. Paperback books WILL NOT be accepted in lieu of hardcover or library bound books.
If a book has been lost, paid for, and then found again and it's returned in good condition before a replacement copy has been purchased, a refund will be issued for the full amount by the School District.
All library materials must be returned to the media center at the end of every school year.
Gifts are always appreciated. All gifts will be evaluated by the media specialist and placed in the appropriate collection.
Gifts may be added to the Media Center collection or given to teachers for classroom libraries.
Donated books will be placed in the collection when appropriate and necessary. Alternatively, they will be made available for classroom libraries, or traded for store credit at Changing Hands or Bookman's to be used to acquire materials for the Library.
