Welcome!

Welcome to 2nd grade! I am originally from Illinois, so I love the warmer weather here in Arizona. I have four beautiful children, a whole zoo of animals, so I am never bored. I look forward to getting to know each one of you this upcoming year!

My Education and Professional Background

I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University in 2010. I have taught both fifth and sixth grade for most of my teaching career.

My Educational Philosophy

My education philosophy is simple. I believe that learning should be fun, not boring, and mundane. Equally important, students need to feel valued and cared for. My goal is to give each of my students the ability and desire to try new things, question everything, and safe place to learn from their mistakes.
