The Basha LEGO Robotics Programming Club is  for 5th and 6th graders. Students will be using an EV3 robot to learn programming skills, and will use those skills to send their robot on Space Challenge missions on a simulated Mars surface.  Students can choose to be in the club for one year or two, depending on how quickly they learn the programming and work through the missions.  This is a non-competitive club, and there are no try-outs.
The club meets Thursdays from 3 – 4:30 pm in Computer Lab B.  The first meeting date will be September 8th and will run until the end of school in May.
Interested 5th and 6th graders can get a permission form and flyer from Mrs. Colella in room 33.  There is room for 20 students and slots fill up quickly each semester, so turn in your form as soon as possible.
There is an activity fee of $25; this will show up on Infinite Campus once you have a spot in the club, and you will pay online.  You may also choose to purchase an optional Mars Rover image t-shirt for an additional $20-$25. This can be paid by cash or check payable to the Basha PTO.
