Hello! My name is Natalie Mannion-Jones and I am the speech teacher at Sanborn. To my students I am known as Ms. Natalie. A little bit about me. I was born and raised in Southern California before my husband and I moved to Arizona in January 2013. We live with our two cats (Shadow and Curiosity). We enjoy traveling and go back to California to visit our families quite regularly. We REALLY love going to Disneyland, camping, concerts and plays, singing in the car and dancing in the kitchen.
My Education and Professional Background
I attended California State University, Fullerton where I was graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communicative Disorders in 2007. I then attended University of the Pacific where I was graduated with a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2009. I have been working as a Speech Therapist in the public school setting since 2009, but I have been working in special education since 2003.
My Educational Philosophy
I have so many goals and hopes for each of my students. Communication truly is the foundation of all that we do in life and I believe that EVERY student has a story to tell and it is my job to help and encourage them to tell it. I love using technology to help “capture” my students’ learning moments so that they can see and be reminded of all the times that they have been successful and to make therapy more personal for each of them.
