About
Wicoff...
Welcome to first grade! I am so happy to have your child in my class this year. We are going to have a wonderful year!
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from ASU with a degree in elementary education. I also have both my ELL and Early Childhood endorsements. I started teaching in the Tempe School District and was there for almost 7 years. I mostly taught 1st grade, but also taught 2nd and did two years of a 1st/2nd multi-age class. I was able to be a stay at home mom for some time, and then went on to teach preschool for 5 years. I have been at Patterson since the 2016/2017 school year. I am excited to have your child in my class, and know that it will be a wonderful year!
My Educational Philosophy
Learning is a journey, not a race. I am privileged to be on that journey with my students. I focus on the fact that EVERY child is gifted and talented, EVERY child has the potential and the right to be successful, and EVERY child can achieve great things. We build on our strengths and tackle our challenges as we navigate first grade together.
