|"You can only become truly accomplished at something you love. Don’t make money your goal. Instead pursue the things you love doing and then do them so well that people can’t take their eyes off of you."|

Basha Bobcats learning to be technology producers... not just consumers.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated from ASU with Honors in 2004 with my BA in Childhood Education. In December of 2009 I graduated with distinction (Magna Cum Laude) from Northern Arizona University with a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I also have earned my English Language Learner endorsement.
My Educational Philosophy
Your student is my number one priority from the time they depart from home until they arrive safely back to you. No two days are the same, and I understand patience and compassion is as importation as curriculum and instruction. My job is rewarding beyond words. And now, as a technology teacher, I have spent many hours watch TED Talks; Mitch Resnick's thoughts on teaching kids about Coding is one of my favorites. Mr. Resnick has helped me see that teaching coding gives students the tools to be technology producers (not just consumers); as well as to be fluent problem solvers, enthusiastic learners of math/science standards and experts in technological language. Coupled with digital citizenship lessons, basic computer skills (from ergonomics to typing), and enthusiastic teaching, students will be prepared for the job markets of the future.
