About
Gonzalez...
Welcom the Mrs. Gonzalez's page. I am so excited to teach third grade at CTA Humprhey!
My Education and Professional Background
I am from New York and received a B.S. degree in Health Administration from St. John's University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Binghamton University. I moved to Arizona in 2005 with my husband and two children and decided to pursue my passion and become a teacher. I obtained a M.Ed. degree in Curriculum & Instruction from ASU. I have taught 4th-6th grades and worked in higher education. My husband and I own a group home, so I have also had the privilege of advocating for children in foster care.
My Educational Philosophy
I embrace the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and abilities that each child brings to the classroom. I'm passionate about every child having the opportunity to fulfill his or her potential, and I will foster an encouraging and supportive environment in which students develop problem solving and critical thinking skills by taking risks, making mistakes, asking questions, and learning from one another.
