Welcome!

Hello, Patterson Pride! My name is Elizabeth Sacco and I'm looking forward to being your Assistant Principal.

My Education and Professional Background

I taught elementary and middle school for ten years in the Bordentown, Glendale, and Chandler school districts and was Dean of Students for one year. I graduated from Kean University where I received my bachelor's degree in Elementary/Middle School Education (K-8). I also earned my master's degree in Reading and Literacy (K-8) from Walden University and hold a master's degree in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe in the education of the whole child because when students' social-emotional needs are met, the academics follow. The goal of every school should be to support children, meet their needs, and ignite a passion for learning and exploration. Through discovery of their interests, abilities, and learning styles, students will feel successful and excel cognitively and social-emotionally. Every child should feel valued and connected to the school through meaningful relationships to both faculty and other students. My mission as Assistant Principal is to support the staff, students, and families while providing a positive learning environment for all learners to grow and develop. I believe if we have students' interests in mind, we win 100% of the time!

Welcome!

Welcome to all of the Patterson PRIDE! The opportunity to work with Patterson's amazing staff, students, and parents is truly an honor. I am confident this will be a successful year in working together to build lasting memories for our students and PRIDE community. Please feel free to stop by the office, find me on campus, or send a letter through our Patterson Postal Service so I can learn about your family. Have a 'PAWS'itively great year!

My Education and Professional Background

My commitment to education has allowed me to work in a variety of school environments. After earning a degree in Child and Adolescent Development I had eight years of rewarding experiences teaching fourth, fifth and sixth grade in Los Angeles, and then in the Chandler district at CTA Freedom. I earned my Master degree at NAU in Educational Leadership which led me to the role of Dean of Students at Riggs and Basha Elementary schools. I truly believe that the Patterson community is Arizona's finest.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that all students are capable of success and achieving high standards when provided with quality instruction that is based upon their individual needs. It is my goal that our students and families feel part of a school environment that supports academic, social and behavioral growth.

Welcome!

Welcome to Patterson Elementary students, families, and community members! I am thrilled to be a part of the Patterson Elementary School team and am looking forward to working with you and your student(s) this upcoming year! If you have any questions or are interested in receiving information about my services, please do not hesitate to call, email, or stop by my office.

My Education and Professional Background

I received my Master of Science in Counselor Education, with a School Counseling emphasis and Disability Studies Certificate from Eastern Washington University. I was previously at a Title I trauma-informed elementary school, where I received ample experience working with students and families from all different walks of life. In addition, I was a Residential Treatment Coach, working with foster children and adolescents who had severe behavioral issues.

My Educational Philosophy

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you my approach to counseling, as well as to helping students succeed academically, socially, emotionally, and behaviorally. As a person-centered counselor, it is of upmost importance to me to build positive and trusting relationships with students. My primary focus is to teach students how to learn from their experiences and behaviors, how to use coping skills when faced with challenges, and how to be the best version of themselves, so that they may develop in to responsible contributing members of society. In addition to being a person-centered counselor, I use a solution-focused approach. Helping students to create and meet their goals, gain conflict resolution skills, and work toward alleviating their difficulty.
