• Variety Show Participants 2020

    Dear Students and Parents:

We want to thank you for taking the time to audition for our Variety Show here at CTA-Independence.  We had a lot of acts audition over three days.  Selecting participants for the show is always a very difficult task.  We are striving to create a ninety-minute show that is truly full of variety.  Judges were present at each audition and lots of discussion occurred to make this difficult decision.    We took into consideration many factors, including preparedness, stage presence, variety, and the performance as a whole.

If you were not selected to be part of this year’s show, please try again next year.

Those students, who will be participating in this year’s show, please know that you will need to attend dress rehearsals before our big show on February 21st.  More information will be sent home next week.

Thank you again for taking the time to audition.

    Sincerely,

Ms. Pearce and the Variety Show Crew

    Ideas for auditions:

Group acts are more likely to get chosen than solo acts.  Grab some friends and start practicing.

Cultural acts are always good for auditions.

We have a ton of piano auditions every year.  Raise your chances by playing with someone or by singing along.

Youtube some clean skits that you can do with your friends.

Be creative and be prepared at auditions.

Sing and dance combinations are a good idea.

Please do not audition with Christmas music.  The show is in February and Christmas music does not apply.

We want to see some kindergarteners!  Encourage them to audition.
