Dear Chandler Unified School District Community,

I am deeply honored to serve as your Superintendent of Schools. Chandler Unified is an exceptional district—the second largest in Arizona—celebrated for its innovation, tradition of excellence, and long-standing commitment to students. It is a privilege to join a community that so deeply values the life-changing power of public education.

As Superintendent, I look forward to partnering with you to lead with care, conviction and devotion for what matters most: our students. My commitment is to support every learner, family, and staff member as we foster environments where students thrive.

Throughout my career as a Superintendent, Deputy Superintendent, Head of Schools, and professor of educational leadership, I have focused on building strong systems that support instructional excellence, operational effectiveness, and fiscal responsibility. I have led diverse PreK through 12th grade urban, rural, and suburban districts to high academic performance, and have navigated schools through complex challenges—including the COVID-19 pandemic—by relying on collaborative, empathetic, and solution-focused leadership.

I believe sustainable success is achieved when we elevate student and family voices, honor the expertise of our staff, and invite authentic community partnerships. Together, we will ensure our schools prepare students not only for graduation, but for meaningful lives of leadership and service. United by this shared vision, our goal is to become the premier district in the country through exceptional neighborhood schools, innovative choice programs, and student-centered pathways that meet the needs of every learner. CUSD is for all students.

For me, the first day of school, which is July 15, cannot come soon enough. I am excited to meet students, families, and staff. I look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside you as we build on CUSD’s strong foundation and shape our next chapter of excellence together.
