How To Cite

Just like everything else within the MLA style of writing, there is a set method of how to cite a source. This includes citing within the paper (paranthetical citation) and the Works Cited page at the end of the paper that tells the reader exactly what all your sources are. In the webquest you have already completed for this project you were given a template of the information needed in order to correctly cite a source. Now, go to The OWL at Purdue writing website and find the basic rules for citing electronic and book with one author sources, since these are the ones you will be using most often.

When you have found and read the rules for these types of citing take notes on the format as you will need to do this when you write your actual paper for this project.

Next, find the rules for paranthetical citations and take notes on how to do this also. Below you will find a link to a sample research paper for you to see how it all fits together in the final product.
