Record Retention
Chandler Unified School District and the Arizona State Archives and Records Management strives to maintain the leanest and most mission-critical documentary record for the state. Our goal is to work with the state to identify all records of importance. Our process has been established to manage the retention and disposition of records to comply with laws and regulation.
It is the responsibility of every department to maintain the district's records with the relevant record retention schedules information.
Process and Procedures
We have established a process that allows us to be responsible and have efficient records management practices that ensure compliance, transparency, and operational effectiveness. Our district follows a structured records retention process that governs how records are stored, maintained, and ultimately disposed of, in accordance with the Arizona State Library, Archives and Public Records Retention Schedules. The records officer will review the archive log prior to reallocating the records to ensure they meet the records retention schedule standards. The retentions schedules may be found via the link to the Arizona State State Library, Archives, and Public Records.
