Refund, Transfer and Donation Request

Parents/Guardians may request a meal account refund at any time during the year by completing an online Account Refund Request Form for any remaining meal account balances over $5.00. (Due to processing and admin fees, we will not be issuing refunds for balances under $5.00.)

Parents/Guardians have one-year from the date their student has left the Chandler Unified School District to request a refund. Any balances that remain after the one-year period will automatically be donated to the Angel Fund to assist families in need by covering negative lunch account balances and ensuring no child goes hungry throughout the school year. 

Refunds will be in the form of a check and will be mailed to the address you provide on the refund request form. Please allow 4-6 weeks for processing and mailing.

Parents/Guardians may also elect to transfer any positive balance to another student’s account. Transfers of student account balances may be made by submitting the Account Refund Request Form and selecting the transfer option.

Parents/Guardians have the option to donate any remaining meal account balances to the CUSD Food & Nutrition Angel Fund by submitting the Account Refund Request Form and selecting the donate option. Our Angel Fund provides short-term assistance to families in our school district with negative lunch account balances. Around 250 meals a day district wide are served to students who do not have enough money in their account to cover the costs. CUSD’s goal of ensuring no child goes hungry throughout the school day equates to a cost of over $40,000 each school year which is covered by donations from our Angel Fund and the Food and the CUSD Food & Nutrition department.
