Star Phonics Training
Star Phonics Diagnostic Training
The following training content for Star Phonics diagnostics are provided to support teachers in administering Star Phonics progress monitoring for mastery (labeled as "diagnostic" in Star Phonics assessment tool) to students after 2-3 weeks of instruction in their lowest deficit skill (stop skill). Additionally, Screener & Diagnostic team members will reference these materials to administer assessments to students during beginning, middle and end of year testing windows. During these time periods, the teams will administer the diagnostic (labeled as "screener" in Star Phonics).
Grade Levels & Diagnostic Tool:
1st Grade - It is a site-based decision to use CORE and/or Star Phonics for students that are at-risk (well below and below benchmark) based on DIBELS/Screener composite. CORE is recommended.
