STAMP (Avant)

The Avant Stamp assessment measures language proficiency in reading, writing, listening and speaking. The Stamp assessment is administered to two groups of students in CUSD.

Below we have linked helpful information for families, including Power-Up Guides and links to the sample test. For more information regarding this programmatic assessment, please consult our CUSD Balanced Assessment Framework for the Avant Stamp Assessment.

Who takes the Stamp assessment?

Dual Language Immersion

dual language immersion

K-8 students enrolled in CUSD's Dual Language Immersion Program take the Stamp assessment once a year. This test:

  • identifies their proficiency in the target language (Spanish or Mandarin)
  • measures their individual growth from one year to the next
  • allows the district to measure the overall effectiveness of the Dual Language Immersion program.

Students in grades K-6 take the Stamp 4SE test, while grade 7-8 students take the Stamp 4S.
