General Information
The AASA is the statewide achievement test for Arizona students in Grades 3-8. All Arizona public school students in Grades 3-8 will take the grade level AASA assessments in English Language Arts and Mathematics. Chandler Unified School District will administer this computer-based test to students.
The Arizona Department of Education publishes many resources for the AASA, located on their website, including but not limited to:
- AASA Testing Dates/Windows
- Test Administration Information
- Testing Accommodations
- AASA Sample Tests
- Manuals and Checklists
- Blueprints and Cut Scores
- Item Specifications
Sample Tests
The AASA Sample Tests are now live and can be accessed through Pearson's TestNav platform. From home.testnav.com, click on Arizona, then click on Mic Check & Sample Tests. Students should be provided the opportunity to explore the testing format and tools prior to testing day. Students and families also have access to the Student Readiness Tool. This online tool mimics the testing platform. It contains lessons teaching students how to use the online tools in the assessment.
