I have been teaching at Chandler High since 2000; before that I was a Firebird at Willis Junior High for five years (so, technically, I have been a teacher for two centuries). Teaching is my calling, and I feel honored to have each and every student in my class.
My Education and Professional Background
I attended ASU and earned my Bachelors degree in Education--with honors. I have a Masters in Curriculum and Design--with honors--from NAU. My certificate states that I am highly qualified in the areas that I teach; in addition, I have a gifted endorsement and I have completed my SEI coursework. I have also completed the coursework for my administrative certificate. I am a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and, in addition, have located an ancestor who arrived on the Mayflower!
My Educational Philosophy
My teaching philosophy is that all students can learn, and it is my job to make education interesting so they WANT to learn.
