Chamberlain...
Thank you for visiting my website. Here you will find classroom newsletters, calendars, information about the common core standards taught in 2nd grade, homework, and learning links. These resources are a helpful tool to keep you informed, encourage communication, and reinforce skills taught at school.
My Education and Professional Background
I have had the privilege of teaching students for 15 years. I graduated from Westminster College in 1996 where I earned a degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish. I received a Master's Degree in Language and Literacy from Arizona State University in 2006. In addition, I have endorsements in reading and early childhood and specialized training in Thinking Maps, Fundations, Teaching Reading Effectively, and the Lindamood Bell Reading Program.
My Educational Philosophy
My goal is to establish a classroom where students are able to explore new ideas, work cooperatively with others, and strive to achieve their personal best each day.
