Welcome!

Hello and welcome to 3rd grade! I am the luckiest gal in the world because I get to teach your kiddos! I thank you for allowing me to spend my days educating our future. We will have a fun year of learning and exploring together. We know that this is truly a journey and we will enrich each other's lives along the way. Please know that I have an open-door policy and encourage you to join our team! Let's build a foundation of success together!

My Education and Professional Background

I began my teaching career in 1997, teaching English language learners and elementary Spanish in Iowa. As a "specialist," I really missed the bond that a teacher develops with their own family of students. The beautiful weather and vast opportunities are what led me to Arizona on a cool 112˚ day in 2001. I have been blessed to spend my time in CUSD teaching 2nd through 4th grade. I absolutely love 3rd grade and am thrilled to join the Patterson Pride this year!

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that every child has the potential to bring something unique and special to the world. Learning is a life-long adventure that includes far more than academics. My hope is that my love for teaching will ignite a passion for learning in my students. I believe that a strong partnership between home and school will produce the most effective impact on our learners. Thanks for joining me on this journey!
