About
Thiel...
I am proud to be a member of the Chandler High School Science Department teaching Biology but more importantly, to call myself a Wolf!
My Education and Professional Background
B.S. in Biology Education from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD. Graduated in 2017 and began teaching 8th grade science at HMS in Chino Valley, AZ.
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that the role of education is to help students grow as individuals and provide them with the tools necessary to thrive in society. Education should give students many opportunities and paths to travel on which help students better themselves. Also, education should emphasize qualities that promote emotional growth and caring for themselves and others. I believe that all students' regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, or capabilities have the right to an education and it should benefit any and all students. The classroom should be a place that allows students to grow and over time find themselves in. The classroom should be a place that students feel comfortable in, help them think outside the box, and encourage them to learn.
