Welcome!

I look forward to working with all my students this year at Hamilton High School. I know that we will have many successes and enjoy celebrating those together. I believe that communication is key to teaching and appreciate any mode of communication to meet the needs of my students.

My Education and Professional Background

I attended Northern Arizona University and earn my Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and Special Education. I completed my endorsements for Mild and Intense Interventions at Indiana University. I am licensed to teach 1-8 grade Elementary Education and Special Education K-12 grade with students with multiple needs in a Cross-Categorical class as well as students with Mild and Intensive multiple disabilities. I have had experiences across all settings and general/special education. I taught in Indiana for 7 years as a Special Education Teacher in junior high. This will be my 5th year in the CUSD as a General Education Teacher for at risk students and started last year at HHS as a Special Education Teacher- Specially Design Instruction.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe everyone deserves an education and someone to positively guide him or her through their learning experience to reach their highest potential. All of us have obstacles to overcome as well as amazing strengths to use for others and ourselves; I want to help facilitate those discoveries, so my students know what strength and capacity exist within them. I believe my role is to promote the learning experience by motivating and inspiring my students to use their strengths to succeed.
