Welcome to First Grade!
My Education and Professional Background
This is my fifteenth year of teaching in the primary grades. I have taught first and second grades in both Arizona and California and have also been a Literacy Coach here in the Chandler Unified School District. I am so excited to be returning to teaching after taking time off to be with my daughter!
My Educational Philosophy
Riggs Elementary is an amazing, excelling school where students and parents alike are valued. As your child’s teacher, I will create community in the classroom by providing a safe, comfortable, and caring environment as well as encouraging students to learnthrough a variety of learning styles. My goal is for each child to reach their fullest potential, and I will differentiate my instruction to meet each child’s needs. I intend to provide learning experiences that are exciting, challenging, and positive through open communication and collaboration with other students, staff, family, and our community.
