    Welcome!

    Welcome to band! Band is available to all 5th and 6th graders in place of General Music. We learn note reading skills, how to set up the instrument and perform, and how to care for the instrument. We give two concerts during the year. Band is fun, and enhances all other areas of learning! We will be signing up students who are interested at the beginning of the school year.

    I believe all students can learn and flourish in the right environment. I believe that music is an important part of our lives. It reflects our culture and the times. It is fun to have a medium in which to express ourselves. Band enhances all areas of learning. It also helps foster responsibility, teamwork, and dedication.
