Welcome to my webpage! I am so excited to meet and get to know all of my students and families. It's going to be a great year, Firebirds!
My Education and Professional Background
I am a third generation Arizonian and third generation educator. My grandparents were school librarians and principals, and both of my parents taught at the high school level. I attended Kyrene schools for elementary and middle school and graduated from Desert Vista High School in 2009. After high school I took many jobs, almost all of them working with kids. I can officially say that I have taught ages 6 weeks-18 years old and middle school is still my favorite. I graduated from Western Governors University in 2019 after student teaching at Chandler High School and Kyrene de la Sierra with a Bachelors in Special Education & Elementary Education. I'm currently pursuing my masters in Middle Grades Science.
My Educational Philosophy
Education is not a one-size-fits-all discipline, and I believe it's essential that my approach is tailored to the specific learning needs of each student. I get to know the students as individuals so I can appropriately support and challenge them academically.
