My Coaching Experience: Head Boys Varsity Soccer Coach, Assistant Varsity Football Coach, Head Junior Varsity Football Coach, Special Olympics Track & Field Coach, Special Olympics Basketball Coach, Junior High Flag Football Coach, Junior High Girls Softball Coach, Youth Girls Softball Coach.
My Educational Philosophy
As a Physical Education Teacher and Coach in CUSD, my goal is to use multiple sports and activities as a tool to make a positive impact on students now and in the future. If I can teach a Primary (K-3) or Adaptive Student the concept of spatial awareness, fundamental throwing, catching, and kicking skills, they will be prepared to participate in any youth sports organizations throughout the community. Secondary (4-6) Students will not only continue to work on Team Sport Fundamentals; I will start to introduce offensive and defensive strategies while playing sports in my class. All students will demonstrate fair play/sportsmanship and the expectation is to do his/her best. My job as an Elementary Physical Education Teacher is not to win a game or championship. It is to introduce new skills, provide positive encouragement, and build confidence with all students.
