    Welcome!

    Welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Mrs. Norburg, and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This is my 2nd year teaching at Tarwater Elementary School, and I know this will be the best year yet.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I graduated from Western Illinois University. This is my 18th year of teaching. I have taught kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 5th grade. My family moved to Chandler one year ago and we love being a part of the community. I live with my husband Seth and our daughter Cadence. Cadence is 7 and loves playing with her puppy Jax. Jax is a one-year-old Shetland Sheepdog. Jax is always ready to play and eat treats. His favorite treat is frozen yogurt treats Cadence makes him in the summer.

    My Educational Philosophy

    All students can learn and master new things in every stage of their educational journey. Effective learning needs collaboration between the teachers, students, and parents. I believe that the best learning takes place in a positive safe environment. Giving students the tools they need to be successful leaders in school and in the world around them empowers their future goals and success.
