Uyeshiro...
Hello ACP! I am Scott Uyeshiro and currently serve as Counselor at ACP. This will be my 29th year in education! I enjoy high school students, watching them mature from freshmen to seniors, helping them become more independent, and guiding them in their decision making. Watching this growth, and becoming part of that process as a counselor, is one of the most exciting and rewarding aspects of my job. Counselors can play an important role in high school so please don’t hesitate to reach out.
My Education and Professional Background
Concordia University-Portland BA Social Work/Behavioral Science, Teaching Certification; City University-Renton MA Ed with emphasis in school counseling
My Educational Philosophy
My mission as a high school counselor is to provide a supportive environment in which all students acquire the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for academic, career, and personal/social development to become life-long learners and responsible citizens.
