Welcome to Fourth Grade! My name is Mr. Morris, and I am so excited to be your teacher this year. This is my 1st year teaching at Shumway Leadership Academy, and I know this will be the best year yet.
My Education and Professional Background
I graduated in 1993, and this is my 28th year of teaching. I have taught 2nd, 3rd, and 4th grade as a homeroom teacher. I have also worked as a Reading Specialist for Gr K-5 and as an English Vice Principal and Curriculum Coordinator in the Middle East.
My Educational Philosophy
It is my goal as a teacher to provide a safe place where everyone feels valued and heard. A safe environment encourages learners to take risks and persevere when things do not come easy.
