My Educational Philosophy

I believe that education should focus on the student. Students learn through experimenting and experiencing, which builds a natural curiosity and urge to learn more. It is my belief that we should teach children how to think and advocate for themselves.

Knowledge is fluid. It changes through time and between cultures. The physical and cultural experiences that students have in and out of the classroom affects how that student interprets new information. It is my goal that students will be able to draw on their own prior knowledge and experiences to find meaning behind new experiences.
