    Welcome!

    Welcome! Hi, my name is Barbara Aldecoa-Escobedo and I am extremely excited to be part of the CTA-Liberty staff. My position as the Student Services Coordinator is to provide services for our students so that their educational experiences are meaningful and successful. I truly enjoy working and building relationships with students, parents, and the community. I am looking forward to a great year and working with all of our students, staff, and families.

    My Education and Professional Background

    I earned my Bachelors of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Early Childhood Education from Arizona State University (Go Devils!). I also graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Masters Degree in Elementary Education and earned the credentials for my Reading Specialist Endorsement. I also earned a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership and have my Administration Certification. My professional career began in 1993 when I accepted my first teaching position in the Chandler Unified School District. Before coming to CTA-Liberty, I taught first grade, second grade, and served as a Dean of Students.

    My Educational Philosophy

    I believe that each student is a unique individual that possess a variety of gifts. We must identify those gifts and help them pursue their gifts to become successful students. My mission is to teach our students to make positive choices, display good character, and learn to treat others the way they would like to be treated. I believe opportunities for 'teachable moments' arise throughout our day and we must use them to teach our students skills that will help them as they go through the journey of life.
