About
Oliden...
I have been teaching at Arizona College Prep since it opened in 2009. I am excited to be teaching Spanish 2 to our eighth graders. In Spanish it will appear as though we are moving slowly, reviewing last year's vocabulary, grammar concepts, and so on. Then hold on to your hats as we dive right in to new vocabulary, preterite verb conjugations, and more. In the first month, your student will already be able to expand upon old knowledge and use this new knowledge through different methods.
My Education and Professional Background
*Bachelor of Science in Home Economics with a Business Minor- North Dakota State University *Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction - Arizona State University *20 years teaching experience elementary, junior high, high school and adults *Taught ESL to students from South Korea *Born and raised in Minnesota “Go Vikings!” *Happily married with a wonderful husband, three children, a daughter-in-law and 2 grandchildren *Interests include reading, traveling, going to the movies, listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
My Educational Philosophy
I strive to help students learn and understand the Spanish language along with different cultural similarities and differences. It is rewarding to be a part of expanding their world in this way.
