My Education and Professional Background

Hi! My name is Aubrey McDonald. Since I was young, I always wanted to be a teacher. I earned my BA in Liberal Studies through California State University. I completed my credential program and some long-term substitute positions in San Diego, CA. From 2008 to 2011, I taught first grade and a 1st/2nd combo class at a school near Lake Tahoe, NV. In the summer of 2011, I began teaching 2nd grade here at Fulton and then looped up to teach 3rd grade. After 6 years in 3rd grade, I am excited to begin a new adventure teaching 6th grade! My amazing family includes my husband, Patrick Sr., my son, Patrick Jr, and my daughter, Carley. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, working out, and reading. I absolutely love being a teacher and feel very fortunate to have such a fun and rewarding career! I am honored to be a part of the Fulton family and community.

My Educational Philosophy

As a teacher, my goal is to provide my students with a fun and friendly classroom. I would like all of my students to feel cared for, successful, and important! We will work together to come up with an understanding of what we believe leaders should be, and strive to be examples of this as leaders in our amazing school!
