About
Alvarez...
Welcome! My name is Rebecca Alvarez. My husband and I were married in June 2012 and we have a calico cat named, Boo. We also have an Australian Shepard, Rocco. I am very honored to be a part of the Hancock community. As a class, we will learn and grow together and I am beyond thrilled to be on this journey with you and your child. Let's make this a fantastic year!
My Education and Professional Background
I earned my bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University. I earned my master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Northern Arizona University. I moved from Chicago to pursue teaching. I started my teaching career in 2010 and have loved each minute being a teacher!
My Educational Philosophy
I believe that each child has the right to a stellar education. It is my mission to provide this for each child through fun, engaging, and adventurous learning. Our classroom community will be a warm and inviting one, where it is okay to make mistakes and grow from them. Each child has the potential to become something great!
